I thought that nurses couldn't strike? So how is their striking any different than the hospital not doing it's job? I am curious if they will get into trouble for striking. I know that in some places nurses are put in dangerous situations where they are watching too many critical care patients. I also have seen where the nurses have been given less patients, so they can give better patient care, but then spend more time gossiping, texting, etc.. I guess in some ways the fewer patients give them free time and give them the ability to keep up on their patient care notes. No solution will be perfect and it is up to the individual in the work setting as well as their supervisors.
