Two area colleges have been connected to a federal investigation by the Government Accountability Office on deceptive recruiting practices.

Kaplan College in Riverside and Westech College -- with campuses in Victorville, Upland and Moreno Valley -- were said to have been visited by undercover government investigators posing as potential students.
